Build your veterinary technician careers with PACKS Externship at Vetco Total Care (Petco)

If you’re training to become a licensed veterinary technician and want meaningful clinical experience, a PACKS Externship offers the perfect opportunity to put your education into practice. As a PACKS vet tech extern, you’ll work directly alongside veterinarians and hospital teams — gaining hands-on experience while developing your clinical, surgical, diagnostic, client-communication, and leadership skills.

Vetco Total Care is committed to supporting the next generation of veterinary technicians. We partner with Penn Foster, PIMA, and other veterinary technician programs for site approval, and we’re happy to assist with any documentation you need for school credit or completion requirements.

During your externship, you’ll have opportunities to participate in routine exams, anesthesia monitoring, surgical support, dental care, diagnostics, patient care, and client education — all with mentorship from experienced medical teams who truly care about your growth.
